Me & My Hormones: The Five Hormone Helpers
6 minute read
These are not a treatment and they are not a substitute for care from your clinician. They are the ordinary supports that make the rest of your plan easier to carry.
Sleep
Protect a consistent window. Sleep interacts with appetite, mood, and how the body handles glucose.
Movement
Include something that loads the bones and something that builds muscle, alongside whatever you enjoy.
Nutrition
Adequate protein, fiber, calcium, and vitamin D are the pieces most often discussed in midlife. Ask your clinician what applies to you.
Stress load
Not a mindset problem. A real physiological input that interacts with sleep and blood pressure.
Connection
Isolation is a health variable. Community, faith, and honest conversation belong in the plan, not beside it.
Pick one. Track it for two weeks. Bring what you learn to your next appointment along with everything else you have recorded.
